DAY 1 | ARRIVAL
Welcome to Bhutan.
Upon arrival, our guides will greet you. We will head to Thimphu, a short relaxing drive from Paro.
Check-in to the hotel, relax and have lunch.
Visit Buddha Dordenma statue and The National Memorial Chorten.
DAY 2 | THIMPHU TOUR
1. Hike to Tango Monastery
This Buddhist monastery is located 14 kilometers to the north of the capital city. Tango monastery is one of the highest learning centers in Bhutan and has a rich history.
2. Tashichho Dzong/ Fortress
Located close to Thimphu town, this impressively large structure presently houses the throne room and office of the King of Bhutan.
3. The Folk Heritage Museum
It is set inside a three-storied traditional house, giving visitors an insight into the rich folk heritage and rural history of Bhutan.
DAY 3 | THIMPHU TO PUNAKHA
1. Dochula Pass
Visit the 108 stupas and enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the Himalayan mountain range.
2. Punakha Dzong
The second oldest and the second largest dzong with one of the most majestic structures in the country.
3. Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten
This chorten shows the beauty of Bhutanese architecture. Built on the principles found within the Holy Scriptures.
DAY 4 | PUNAKHA TO GANGTEY
1. Chimi Lhakhang / Fertility Temple
A 20 minutes’ walk across terraced fields through the village of Sopsokha will bring you to the temple. Built in the 15th century by Lama Drukpa Kuenley, the temple is renowned to bless and give guidance to couples who wish to conceive.
2. Wangdiphodrang Dzong
Wangdiphodrang is one of the major towns in Bhutan and is the last town before central Bhutan. The Dzong was constructed in 1638 on a ridge resembling a sleeping elephant.
DAY 5 | GANGTEY TOUR / PHOBJIKHA VALLEY
Visit the Gangtey monastery and hike through Gangtey nature trail. Let yourself loose and soak in the nature and beauty phobjikha has to offer.
The winter home to the globally endangered black-necked cranes, who migrate from Tibetan Plateau, is one of the most beautiful destinations in Bhutan.
DAY 6 | GANGTEY TO PARO
Besides being the home to the only international airport in the country, history is abundant in this valley and the numerous historical locations are proof of this very nature. The very famous tiger’s nest is nestled on the cliff that overlooks Paro valley.
Farm house
Bhutan is known for its untouched ancient culture and tradition where most visitors can see the unique blend of past and present culture in Bhutan, which almost all the countries in the world have lost. The best way to experience the indigenous Bhutanese culture is by visiting the Traditional Bhutanese Farmhouse. Traditional Bhutanese Farmhouse of Paro Valley with its unique concept of preserving and showcasing the rustic Bhutanese lifestyle has enthralled the mind of many travelers. The Queen Mother of Bhutan was the first to come up with this concept of Traditional Bhutanese Farmhouse.
DAY 7 | HIKE TO TAKTSANG – THE TIGER’S NEST
Clinging on a cliff, 900 meters above the Paro valley, is the most iconic landmark of Bhutan. It was built in the 7th century A.D. where Guru Rinpoche flew atop a tigress to meditate.
DAY 8 | DEPARTURE
