Considered one of the country’s most famous festivals, one can enjoy the various folk and mask dances performed by monks and laypeople from the community. The unveiling of the giant Thongdrel (a large tapestry of a religious image) is the festival’s main highlight. Citizens from other districts come to witness the festival to receive blessings from the Thongrdel as it is said to cleanse one of negative karma.
